ABOUT THE WORK

One of McNeil’s most iconic photographs, this work communicates the creative genius of children throughout the world. This image was made at a friends home in Ongwediva, Namibia. Not yet succumed to American television, Namibian children still find time to imagine and be creative. Hence, what we see here is  a child at play cooking spaghetti with the ingrediates found in her front yard.
